Does Joe Biden want Hillary Clinton to be president more than Hillary Clinton?

Hillary Clinton Joe Biden ScrantonA review of their schedules shows, as of Monday morning, the vice president will be appearing at more rallies on behalf of the Democratic nominee more than the candidate herself.

Biden will be appearing at two “organizing events” on behalf of Clinton on Thursday: one in Mahoning Valley, Ohio, and another in Cleveland, according to HillarySpeeches.com.

Neither currently has an announced start time.

Clinton, meanwhile, only has one announced public appearance for the week, and it will be at the American Legion National Convention on Wednesday, which will be closed to the public.

Vice Presidential nominee Tim Kaine will be making more appearances on behalf of the ticket than Clinton, as well.

Kaine will be holding “organizing events” in Erie and Lancaster, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, as well as another in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania the next day.

After the American Legion appearance on August 31st, Clinton does not currently have another public appearance scheduled until a “Commander-in-Chief Forum” scheduled in New York City on September 7.

There is speculation that Clinton is laying low and is merely trying to run out the clock.

The Washington Examiner reports:

“I think that’s absolutely what they’re doing,” GOP strategist Liz Mair told the Washington Examiner. There may be a good reason for this, she added, explaining the Democratic candidate likely has a larger strategy in place.

“While normally I’d say it’s risky, in this case I do not,” said Mair, who has been at the forefront of efforts to oppose Trump’s candidacy. “Trump and his team are so flawed and so wrong on so many things that it’s much more safe to do this than the Clinton folks could ever have guessed.”

The basic idea for Clinton is: Get out of the way, keep quiet and let Trump hang himself with his own rope. Don’t give the press any reason to take the attention off of him.

And for now, the mainstream media is letting her get away with it.
