Many in the free world were taken aback by the stunningly sympathetic remembrance of Cuban dictator by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

In his statement, Trudeau expressed “deep sorrow” after learning of “the death of Cuba’s longest serving president,” CNN reported.

“Fidel Castro was a larger than life leader who served his people for almost half a century. A legendary revolutionary and orator, Mr. Castro made significant improvements to the education and healthcare of his island nation.”

He continued, “While a controversial figure, both Mr. Castro’s supporters and detractors recognized his tremendous dedication and love for the Cuban people who had a deep and lasting affection for ‘el Comandante.'”

The scandal signalled the end of the couple’s tumultuous marriage, but Margaret Trudeau denied having affairs with any members of the Rolling Stones, later telling a conference on mental health, “I should have slept with every single one of them.”
