Bernie Sanders isn’t doing anything to tamp down potentially poisonous speculation that Hillary Clinton could be indicted over her mishandling of classified information.

During an appearance on “The Young Turks” on Friday, Sanders professed to be unsure if she’ll face charges but did say such a development could all but end her run.

“If if if — I’m not saying it is —if something like that were to happen, would that impact the electorate?” Sanders said. “Of course it would. And would that be taken into consideration by the delegates? Of course it would.”

He said Democratic delegates’ top priority is not necessarily a Democratic president, but rather stopping Donald Trump.

He was asked about what he thought if Clinton was indicted and “establishment Democrats” recruited Joe Biden to be nominated at the convention.

“We’re off in speculation world: so number one is that there will be an indictment, which I do not know, and number two, that if there was, Joe would be brought in,” he said. “I think that would be a terrible, terrible idea.

“That would say to the millions of people who have supported us, who have worked with us, that would say all of your energy, all of your votes, your beliefs are irrelevant.”
